- Authors
Casselman, Bill
- Abstract
The article discusses the origination of windigos. It first defined windigos as creatures that had originated from North America which became cannibals after they turned insane. It notes that the word "windigo" was developed by the Native American Algonquian language meaning "evil spirit" that devours mankind. It also present the idea that windigo is a product of an Indian myth and not of an American. Moreover, the article reveals other stories on windigos such as their bodily features.
