Should Law Schools Support Faculty Research?
- Authors
Rubin, Edward
- Abstract
The article focuses on the issue on whether law schools in the U.S. should support faculty research. Although law schools are largely financed by student tuition payments, a significant proportion of expenditures do not directly benefit the students, but to finance faculty research. It also identifies the nature of the cross-subsidy, or the cost being added to the supposed tuition fee, with more precision. Lastly, it explores the question of possible justification on the problem.
