- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the urinary oxalate and calcium excretion rates in cats and dogs diagnosed with calcium oxalate (CaOx) urolithiasis. The study indicates the important role of urine concentrations of oxalate and calcium in CaOx uroliths formation in cats and dogs. It shows that the urinary calcium to oxalate ratio was on average three-four-fold higher in animals with CaOx urolithiasis compared to healthy animals.
