- Abstract
The article discusses the antemortem diagnosis and clinical progression of cholesterol granulomata in horses. It cites the cases of a 12-year-old Irish Draught cross gelding and an 11-year-old Irish Sports Horse which were diagnosed of cholesterol granulomata using a standing computer tomography (CT). It mentions that the first horse developed laminitis. Moreover, the signs of cholesterol granulomata resulted from physical pressure and periodic release of irritating substances.
