The article critiques the epic poem "Paradise Lost," by English poet John Milton. Topics discussed include observations on the subjects of conversation between biblical characters Adam and Eve in the poem, the anachronistic references made by the character Raphael in his narration of the concept of War in Heaven, and the use of proper names by Raphael in identifying several devils mentioned in the poem.
