What Are You: A Hotel Guest, Tenant, or Transient Occupant?
- Authors
Chamorro, Miguel J.
- Abstract
The article discusses the need to correct the existing public lodging law in Florida in order to protect both the hotel owners and their guests. Topics discussed include the differences between a transient occupant and a nontransient occupant, a growing number of hotel guests in recent years who have successfully turned themselves as tenants, and the lack of legislation to apply when a hotel-guest relationship gives way to a landlord-tenant relationship.
