- Abstract
The article discusses several aspects of negotiated rulemaking (NR) in Florida as of 2017, and it mentions the Florida Statutes and the case Baywood Nurseries Co. Inc. v. Dep't of Health which deals with the defendant's promulgation of rules pursuant to Florida's "Compassionate Medical Cannabis Act of 2014" legislative bill. According to the article, negotiated rulemaking is the process by which an agency-appointed committee negotiates in the interest of establishing a mutually acceptable rule.
