- Abstract
The article discusses freedom of the press in Florida as of September 2012, focusing on the state's Government-in-the-Sunshine law regarding transparency in government operations and its impact on open government proceedings. A historical overview of open government laws in Florida is provided, including information on the state's 1909 Public Records Law. Several legal cases are examined as well, including Chandler v. Florida which deals with free press rights.
