- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 63-year-old post-menopausal Caucasian woman suffering from kidney-related bone disease. She had a history of hypertension and tobacco use. Laboratory tests showed a serum creatinine level of 97.2 μmol/l, and glomerular filtration rate of 53 ml/min. Ultra high- resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography was performed at the distal forearm, which showed decreased cortical density and thickness.
