- Abstract
The article discusses several aspects of adhesion contracts, and it mentions the rules governing conflicts between Internet-based business enterprises and consumers in places such as the U.S. and the European Union (EU) with regards to online contracts. American contract laws and consumers' rights are addressed, along with transaction costs and legal cases such as ProCD Inc. v. Zeidenberg which deal with computer software-related shrink-wrap contracts and the theory of lack of mutual assent.
