- Abstract
The article focuses on the significance of photography to artists. Painter Paul Delaroche wrote a one-page statement to explain the potential value of photography to artists, which emphasized that photography carries some of art's basic qualities to perfection. Additionally, he claimed that the drawings obtained by photography are remarkable for the perfection of details and for the richness and harmony of the whole. Moreover, he emphasized that nature is reproduced in photographs with truth and art.
