- Authors
Edgar, Timothy
- Abstract
The author reflects on the challenges in communication and behavior change to limit the development of antibiotic resistance. He states that healthcare providers are responsible for prescribing antibiotics in a prudent manner and communicate to patients the right way to use the medications. He relates that the patients should also engage in a series of behaviors which might not necessarily be linked in the minds of consumers such as sharing antibiotics with others and washing hands properly.
