The author focuses on the action of the Cumulative Environmental Management Association (CEMA) regarding the protection of the swath of Alberta's northern boreal forest from oilsands and other developments. He mentions that the signatories for the campaign include Suncor, Husky, Petro-Canada, and Japan Oilsands Incorporated. He believes that CEMA's plan can be beneficial to the environmental, First Nations, and Metis groups and to the business community.
