- Abstract
The article focuses on cause of retropharyngeal cellulitis and abscesses in the region of posterior pharyngeal wall and the anterior surface of the cervical vertebrae. The article refers to the case of a 20-year-old woman who had a neck pain after swallowing a needle wherein physical examination and radiographies revealed retropharyngeal cellulitis and spondylodiscitis. It concludes remove the foreign body and initiate antibiotic treatment.
