The light saber comprises of a handgrip same to a flashlight and a tube of colored light that forms the blade. Science students were instructed to design, create, and offer scientific explanation behind their projects based on standards adopted from the "Benchmarks for Science Literacy." The projects concentrate on the students' intellectual capacity of demonstrating the appropriate use of the science process skills and the use of technology in the classroom. The benchmarks for persuasive paper and the "Star Wars" persuasive paper rubric are also presented.
