- Title
Weaker demand for textile machinery.
- Abstract
The article reports on the business plan of Switzerland-based Rieter Holding Ltd. to revise its expectations downward for the 2008 financial year. It states that the plan of the company is based on the condition of the industry in which the markets for textile machinery are developing less favorably and there are also signs of more severe downtown. The demand has also been weakening since the fourth quarter of 2007, which then suffered a steep decline in March and April 2008. In connection, the first four months of the vehicle production of the company was also some five percent lower than in 2007.
