- Abstract
This article presents news briefs pertaining to the textile industry. Marks & Spencer Plan A is making a five year commitment, in which the department store will address issues like waste reduction, ethical trade and climate change. They have also created a Supplier Exchange with the intention to help get the entire supply chain involved in sharing best practices. The Reduced Impact of Textiles on the Environment (RITE) Group will be a forum in which environmental issues in the textile supply chain can be discussed by knowledgeable individuals. This forum is sponsored by "Ecotextiles News," Marks & Spencer, and Leeds University.
