- Abstract
Daniel M. Landers, the cofounder of the Journal of Sport Psychology (now titled Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology), passed away at the age of 81. He was known for his contributions to the field of sport and exercise psychology, particularly in the areas of social facilitation in motor performance, the psychophysiology of kinetic imagery, and the effects of exercise on psychological outcomes. Landers was a respected researcher, mentor, and teacher, and his work has had a lasting impact on the field. He received numerous awards for his contributions and was highly regarded by his colleagues and students.
