The article focuses on the impact of chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA), which is a breast cancer treatment. It discusses the advantage of scalp cooling preventing hair loss or use of taxane-based chemotherapy by causing vasoconstriction, decreasing the amount of chemotherapy to be delivered to the hair follicles.
