- Abstract
The article discusses the world economy in 2007-2008. It states that GDP growth has come down to 4.7% from 5.2 % in 2007 therefore the global expansion will be slower in 2008. It also predicts the economic developments of several countries including China, Japan and the U.S. in 2008. According to it, the Chinese Gross domestic product will come down from 10 percent to 9.5 percent , but Japan will have an expansion of 2 % in that. It is also mentioned that the U.S. will face intense damage to its economy from the housing investments as it will fall by 14.9 percent in 2007 and by 7.2 percent in 2008.
