- Abstract
An essay on the period of reconstruction among the Jews, led by the Jewish movement Havurah in the U.S., is presented. It defines havurah as a small community of individuals and families that was formed as a Jewish fellowship in support for programs to the Jews. It also examines the Reconstructionist's contribution to the havurah as an American Jewish Institution that was established from the inception of the Reconstructionist movement in the 1920s up to the 1960s.
