- Abstract
The article reflects on several reports on the lives of Jewish people in the U.S., which were published in previous issues of various newspapers in the country. According to an article published in one of the Jewish weeklies in January 1975, the Congregation Talmud Torah, which was the oldest Orthodox synagogue in Los Angeles, is celebrating its sixty-fourth anniversary during the month. A foreword by Jacob R. Marcus to "A Century of Jewish Life in Dixie" states that American Jewish histories have overemphasized the history of Jews in New York City as well as the role of the national organizations there. An autobiographical article by Jewish writer Belle Fligelman Winestine was published in the summer 1974 issue of "Montana: The Magazine of Western History."
