- Abstract
The article looks at trends in labor market outcomes for registered nurses in the U.S. from 2002 to 2015. Data from the Occupational Employment Statistics survey revealed increases in nursing employment and wages during the Great Recession from 2007 to 2009. Also discussed are employment opportunities for registered nurses in general medical and surgical hospitals and in offices of physicians.
