Prospects of ChatGPT in Machinery Industry.
- Abstract
ChatGPT is a dialogue generation system based on the Transformer model, which generates natural and fluent responses through natural language process techniques. Unlike traditional retrieval-based dialogue systems, ChatGPT not only replies based on the dialogue context, but also references extensive linguistic knowledge and pre-trained data and has stronger semantic understanding and generation capabilities. In the field of mechanical design, ChatGPT can be integrated with tools such as CAD, CAM and PLC to provide design suggestions and optimization solutions, stimulate innovation and inspiration, and provide real-time support in simulation, emulation, production scheduling, quality control, mechanical repair and preventive maintenance. However, there are still some challenges in the application of ChatGPT, such as accuracy and credibility issues, which require further research and improvement. To address these issues, it is necessary to fully train and tune ChatGPT, establish a quality evaluation mechanism and cooperate and interact with engineers to jointly improve the effectiveness and accuracy of the system.
