- Abstract
In view of abnormal noise of an excavator, through testing and analysis, it is found that the noise source is the friction noise of the input gear pair, and the beat vibration of the motor piston pump exacerbates the abnormal noise. A multi-body dynamics model of the transmission is established, NVH simulation method is applied for advanced system deflection analysis for fault and normal conditions to obtain the transmission errors under different tooth pitches and run-out errors, and the NVH analysis is further performed to obtain the noise radiated by the transmission shell to verify the test analysis results. In conjunction with the simulation analysis and testing, the gear parameters and number of gear teeth are optimized, the peak noise of the machine drops from 52 MPa to 36 MPa after optimization, the abnormal noise disappears, and the sound quality is greatly improved.
