- Abstract
Amphiphilic polymers will automatically aggregate into large micelles after being dissolved in water. They have obvious thickening ability in aqueous solution and great application potential in enhanced oil recovery(EOR). Taking polystyrenepolymethacrylic acid amphiphilic polymers as the research object, the convective denaturation, filtration and emulsification are studied, and their effect on EOR is evaluated. The results show that the molecular weight of amphiphilic polymers is smaller than that of HPAM, but the recovery efficiency is higher at the same mass concentration and shear viscosity under high salinity. At the same time, the effects of salinity and emulsifying performance on polymer performance are investigated. The results show that the oil displacement mechanism of this type of polymers is different from that of traditional polymers, and the oil displacement effect is better than that of traditional polymers, which have a good application prospect.
