- Abstract
The article presents a study that examines the toxicity of parathion on embryo and yolk-sac larvae of gilthead seabream, scientifically known as Sparus aurata L. with effects on survival in cholinesterase (ChE) and carboxylesterase (CaE) activity. It investigates the effects on the early developmental stages of the marine fish Sparus aurata of the prototype organophosphate (OP). The results lead to a more vigorous comprehension of organophosphorus pesticide toxicity in the early life stages of fishes.
