The article provides an overview of the life and works of climate scientist Eunice Newton Foote. It mentions that she was an American scientist and inventor who discovered the effect of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, in addition to being a defender of the rights of the women of Seneca Falls, New York. It also mentions that she was the third female member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
