- Abstract
Currently, the use of dermal regeneration matrices in full-thickness burns is widely extended, and numerous studies have shown the improvement in flexibility and elasticity of the resulting skin compared to the use of autologous skin grafts alone. In this article, we present a patient who suffered a deep burn on the dorsal surface of his hand in a military context of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine. After being evacuated to Spain, he was successfully treated at our centre with a dermal regeneration matrix covered with an autologous skin graft.
