The article presents debate on regulation of treatments for in vitro fertilisation (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in Great Britain by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA). Topics discussed include review of evidence of cost-effectiveness in some fertility practice by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE); study by the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine in BMJ and procedures related to clinical embryology practice.
