- Abstract
In this study, an access system has been developed for many Ottoman artifacts that have survived to the present day. This access system has been implemented as a result of an expanded roadmap to include mobile applications, as an ongoing process of content-based document query and key-frame-based image enhancement. It is very difficult to access the information of the Ottoman works classified as existing inscriptions, calligraphy and witness and to read the Ottoman texts on them. First of all, the unreadable works were identified, then it was possible to access the information of these works with a mobile application and to read them in today's Turkish by applying a GPS-based filter to the SIFT algorithm. In addition, it was aimed to create an inventory platform for the future use of these works in academic studies and REST-enabled interfaces were developed. The works in the designated pilot regions were previously entered into the Content Management System. The necessary information and feature vectors to be used for similarity were extracted and saved for future searches. Afterwards, images matching the search requests made to the image recognition system via the developed mobile application. It was combined with the information in the content management system and conveyed to the user. Within the scope of this study, examples are given, that are successfully matched and presented through the interface.
