- Abstract
The article explores the history of telecommunications technology in Hong Kong, China. Developments in telecommunications services include fax communications, pagers through to broadband and third-generation networks. Telephone and fax services reportedly expanded in Hong Kong by 1984. Hong Kong Telephone established Communications Services Ltd. in 1983 to develop mobile communications. The CT2 cordless phone service emerged in 1993.
