- Title
AN INTERRELIGIOUS COUNCIL AT THE UN: UN CHARTER POSSIBILITIES AND CONSTRAINTS.
- Authors
Petrovsky, Vladimir
- Abstract
This article investigates the possibilities for the reform of the UN Security Council as desired by many developing and non-aligned nations, like South Africa, which want to see the Security Council democratized. The author suggests that such reform suggestions are hopelessly idealistic. The permanent members of the Security Council will not give up their power unless another large world power arises, and only then will it be added to the oligarchic club.
