- Title
THE USE OF AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY IN URBAN GEOGRAPHIC RESEARCH.
- Authors
TOLNAI, Gábor
- Abstract
The present paper analyses the structural changes of one specific brownfield zone of Budapest, based on the GIS interpretation of archive and recent high resolution aerial photos. While the subject is related to former studies, the method used is considered novel in Hungarian urban geography. The results correspond with initial expectations: there is an interrelation between the potential of renewal and the type of land use sites were formerly under. The main contributions of this paper are the method for measuring changes and its possible application for brownfield rehabilitation.
