The article explores the history of Great Britain with regard to its failure to retain American colonies, highlighting the end of the Seven Years War in 1763. Great Britain's loss of America is reportedly attributed to colossal expense of the Seven Years War and British politicians' high-handed approach. Also discussed are the Stamp Act, the rule of King George III, and the impact of the war on the relationship between Great Britain and the U.S.
