Fair, C. Christine; Kaltenthaler, Karl; Miller, William J.
- Abstract
The article discusses the Pakistani government's opposition to the America's use of weaponized unmanned aerial vehicles (drone aircraft) to kill suspected terrorists in Pakistan's federally administered tribal areas (FATA) as of 2016, and it mentions an increase in U.S. led drone warfare strikes since 2008. The differences between drone warfare-related signature strikes and personality strikes are examined in connection with the identities of suspected terrorists and targeted militants. U.S.-Pakistan relations are assessed, along with American President Barack Obama's drone warfare policy.
