- Abstract
A case study is presented of 46-year-old man with history of alcohol abuse with epigastric pain, abdominal distension, and progressive constipation. Topics discussed include increase in white blood cell count, computed tomography displaying features of acute edematous pancreatitis, and abdominal X-ray films demonstrating progressive cecal distension. It adds that the patient underwent ileocecectomy and end ileostomy with immediate relief of his symptoms followed by uncomplicated stoma reversal.
