The author reflects on John Knox's article which presents an analysis of education of meteorology and its corresponding employment statistics. It is the author's opinion the Knox's analysis that students get little preparation for careers outside of meteorology and few warnings about stiff competition for entry-level jobs is valid. The author comments on the university programs that are being offered to students.
