- Abstract
An interview with film critic Stanley Kauffmann is presented. When asked if he is impressed by the authenticity of the violence in the work of Martin Scorsese, he says that he will not accuse Scorsese of using gratuitous violence although in the film "Taxi Driver," Scorsese is a little immature in his conception in violence. He shares that treatment of sex in most contemporary films is exploitative and unnecessary. Kauffmann believes that a film is an important art.
