- Abstract
The dynamism that characterizes the tourism sector creates a context in which the most important asset of hotels is differentiation. The first part of the article regards the literature review for the components of market orientation and its main effects on hotel performance and competitiveness and thus, like an outcome, three hypotheses are stated. The second part consists of developing findings for the studied region of Cluj County based on the presented research methodology. The results show that hotel managers have a significant customer orientation and focus less on competitors.
