- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the issue on oral health and well-being of older adults at residential aged-care facilities in New Zealand. The author states that prevention of oral disease improves oral health and quality of life, reduces the burden on the healthcare system, and improves general health as a whole. Further, the author explains that oral health promotion and public policy for chronic disease prevention is prudent and cost-effective.
