The article focuses on the depiction of Franco-Maghrebis or beur subjects as criminals and juvenile delinquents in the Franco-Maghrébine novels, and the situations that make a person antisocial and criminal. It mentions that young people facing racism, having less income or unemployed are forced to do crimes for their living. It examines the writings of several Franco-Maghrébine writers such as Mehdi Charef and Hafed Benotman.
