- Abstract
A reprint of the article "The Duty of the Medical Profession in This War," which appeared in a 1917 issue of the journal, is presented, along with information about the medical care-related obligations of medical personnel during World War I. Medical corps fatalities are addressed, along with the lack of a necessity for a military draft involving physicians in America. The impact of World War I on European civilization is assessed, along with diseases such as typhoid and cholera.
