- Abstract
The article discusses the highlights of a workshop held by the Institute of Medicine's Roundtable on Translating Genomic-Based Research for Health regarding the codevelopment of genome-based therapeutics. Topics addressed include companion diagnostic (CoDx) tests and solutions, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) role in the marketing of CoDx tests, and economic challenges to investing in CoDx codevelopment. Clinical concerns regarding CoDx test development are also mentioned.
