- Authors
RODGERS, LAMONT
- Abstract
The article discusses professor Karl Widerquist's concept of libertarian dilemma. It informs that libertarian state does not create natural property rights which is called the Conceptual Dilemma. It also informs that by vindicating state property rights of the individual private property rights Empirical Dilemma is formed. The author has tried to show neither dilemma is genuine. It argues that Conceptual Dilemma relies on a mistaken characterization of the libertarian position. It suggests that a libertarian should endorse into a statute of limitations. According to the author, the conceptual and historical dilemmas are not actually dilemmas and the libertarian position is not an endstate.
