The article focuses on sale and leaseback arrangements that had become very popular in the early part of the century but came within the regulatory authority of the Financial Services Authority of Great Britain. Topics discussed include Ponzi schemes that are illegal in its terms; the Great Charter as protection of privileges and freedoms related to leaseback arrangements; and laws governing the tenants in terms of mortgages.
