- Abstract
The article focuses on the research on characterization of the bacterial and fungal contamination of indoor air in farmhouses and compares it to the microbial concentration levels to those in urban residential environments. The research found that the air in farmhouses has a significantly higher concentration of bacteria and fungi compared to urban dwellings. However, respirable microorganisms in the farmhouses made up a smaller fraction of all bacteria and fungi. The results help identify factors affecting the microbial air quality in farmhouses, including those associated with specific bioaerosol emission sources.
