- Title
Apathy Is the Enemy in Wisconsin Ballot Battle.
- Authors
OCHALLA, BRYAN
- Abstract
The article discusses the perceived apathy among Wisconsin voters towards the proposed constitutional amendment that would ban gay marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships. The author describes his disappointment in the lack of definitive and continuous support among the gay community for activist measures to block the amendment. The gay rights groups Action Wisconsin and BlockOut Wisconsin (the latter of which the author is co-founder) have plenty of supporters, however, action campaigns do not have the power in numbers they need in order to be effective.
