- Title
THE PREHISTORIC RUINS OF CASTLE PARK.
- Authors
BROWN, F. MARTIN
- Abstract
The article discusses prehistoric ruins in the Yampa River Valley excavated by groups from Colorado College and the Fountain Valley School in August 1933. Particular focus is given to work conducted in the Castle Park area, including several caves. Depictions of granaries, pictographs, and house sites identified at the location are presented. The article suggests that the site offers evidence of an agricultural culture that raised squash and corn, wove baskets, made poor pottery, and built circular granaries and rectangular houses.
