- Abstract
The article reports that the Royal Society in Great Britain issued a policy statement on February 3, 2003 for the creation of a National Institute of Infectious Diseases. It states that the said institute will be responsible for funding research and linking scientists who study human infectious diseases and those who study animal diseases. It cites that the proposal is in line with a movement that aims to integrate medical and veterinary medicine. Views from Keith Gull are also offered.
